Who we are
We are a small team of travel writers, former guides and hotel reviewers. Carrik Ennard began as a shared notebook of lodge inspections and road-trip detours. Today it helps thousands of monthly readers choose where to sleep, when to travel and which experiences are worth the splurge.
Our mission
We make travel decisions clearer and calmer. Every week we publish free guides across five sections: Safari Lodges, Cultural Tours, Spa Retreats, Lake Getaways and Glamping Stays. You get honest 2026 price bands, season notes and the practical details that brochures leave out.
Editorial standards
No sponsored rankings, no pay-to-list placements. We pay for our own stays unless a property is clearly disclosed as a press visit, and a comped night never buys a recommendation. Prices are checked against direct booking pages and local operators before publishing, and we correct mistakes in public within 48 hours. If a place disappoints in person, we say so. Our ethics follow the guidance published by the Society of Professional Journalists.
